Grasslands once covered much of the interior in North America. They were also common is Eurasia and South America also. Various names are known for the grasslands. Prairies in North America, in Asia they are called Steppes, in South America they are called the Pampas and in South Africa they are called they Veldts. It is amazing thinking of what other places call the Grasslands!
