Description:
Bush Lespedeza is a native, warm-season perennial of the Leguminosae, or
legume family. It attains a height of 1 meter or more.
Leaf: The leaves are divided into three leaflets.
The leaflets are elliptical and sometimes covered with fine, silvery hairs.
Flower: The small pea-shaped flowers are borne in a
roundish head-like inflorescence which turns a dark brown at maturity.
Blooming months: July-Sept.

Discussion:
Bush Lespedeza is excellent forage. The seeds of this species, as with
many of the lespedezas, provide excellent food for game birds.
