The following information is a basic outline of the classroom rules and policies that will be upheld throughout the entire year.  Rules are enforced for the safety and well-being of all students.  Please read through these carefully with your child to make sure that he or she understands what is expected of him or her in the classroom. 

•  BE RESPECTFUL

•  I listen to my teacher and classmates
•  I speak politely to teachers and students – No Back Talk
•  I do not speak without raising my hand
•  I keep my hands and feet to myself
•  I take care of school property
•  I allow others their beliefs and opinions
•  I use appropriate school language
•  I use good manners and appropriate inside voice
•  I take care of my classroom and clean up messy areas




•  BE RESPONSIBLE

•  I bring ALL my materials to class
•  I complete my class assignments on time
•  I follow directions the first time given
•  I actively listen when the teacher is talking
•  I raise my hand and wait to be called on
•  I complete ALL homework on time
•  I use equipment properly & return it when I’m finished
•  I report any problems to a teacher
•  I answer questions when called upon
•  I work with team members in group assignments
•  I do my team job when working in groups
•  I do quality work with quality handwriting
•  I complete any classroom job that I’m assigned
• I have my assignment notebook signed daily by a parent/guardian
• I have my Friday Folder signed every week and brought back the following school day




•  BE THERE - BE READY

•  I will be prepared for class
•  Have gone to the restroom
•  Have pencils sharpened
•  Have books out and any homework ready to turn in
•  I will be attentive
•  I will be on time-physically inside classroom in my seat when the bell rings
•  I will have my homework completed for that day
•  I will bring all needed materials to class and be organized
