Classroom Expectations

  1. Be Respectful

  3. Be There – Be Ready

Student Needs

  1. All students need respect from their teacher and peers.
  2. All students need a safe and quiet place to learn.
  3. All students need praise for their effort.
  4. All students need to be treated equally.

Teacher Needs

  1. I need respect from all of my students.
  2. I need all students to be open-minded and to have a positive attitude.
  3. I need all students to follow directions the first time they are given.
  4. I need all students to put forth their best effort.

Consequences for Bad Behavior

  1. Verbal warning
  2. “D-mark”
  3. 5 “D-marks” becomes a 15 minute classroom detention
  4. After the third classroom detention, an office referral will be written

** I maintain the right to increase the punishment for a violation with my discretion.

Reward for Positive Behavior

  1. Verbal Praise
  2. Written Gotcha
  3. External Reward

Classroom Procedures

At the beginning of class all students will quietly sit in their assigned seats, get out their homework, and begin working on the POD or journal.

During class students will raise their hand if they have a question and wait until everyone is finished talking before they speak, unless instructed otherwise.

At the end of class all students will quietly remain seated until the bell rings, unless instructed otherwise.
