PBIS

This year we will continue to implement a program called PBIS: Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. The goal of PBIS is to clearly establish behavioral expectations, teach students how to meet those expectations, and then regularly recognize students who follow the school expectations. Every CMS student is expected to be respectful, be responsible, and be there - be ready. By working as a team, we can have a school that is safe and orderly where every student has the opportunity to learn.

Bullying Prevention

We are working this year to prevent bullying from happening at CMS. Bullying is defined as any form of unwanted deliberate, or offensive behavior that someone has asked another to stop. Please review the following school rules with your child and call the CMS office (626-3300) if you have any questions.

  1. We will not bully others
  2. We will try to help students who are bullied
  3. We will include students who are easily left out
  4. When we know someone is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home

School Improvement

Did you know that a committee of twelve people meet monthly to evaluate the CMS School Improvement Plan? They discuss relevant data to decide effective decision-making. They also evaluate the various activities that are part of each of the SIP goals.

  • 85% of students will meet/exceed on Reading ISAT test
  • 90% of students will meet/exceed on Math ISAT test
