Personnel

General Personnel - Tutoring and Private Lessons

The District is responsible for the content and quality of instruction throughout the regularly established school day and school year.

In the event that parent(s)/guardian(s) wish to provide additional instruction for their children, it is the parent(s)/guardian(s)' responsibility to make necessary arrangements.

Tutoring paid for by the parent(s)/guardian(s) shall not take place on school premises unless authorized by the Board of Education. Professional employees of the District are not to solicit tutorial assignments during the regular school year and are discouraged from tutoring students assigned to them.

Private Lessons

Professional personnel shall not provide private lessons for compensation using school facilities unless authorized by the Board of Education. Professional personnel are discouraged from providing private lessons for compensation during the regular school year.

Administrative Procedures

The Superintendent or a designee shall develop procedures to implement this policy.
